What’s all the buzz about the Mangosteen Juice?
On this site I hope to introduce you to a way to improve your health and the health of your family, friends, neighbors etc. This fruit called the Mangosteen has been around for centuries in South East Asia and used there for a variety of purposes. Fast forward to today and it is now available here in the West. Watch a video at Xango Mangosteen Fruit Juice called “Joe’s Story” for how that came about.
What makes the Mangosteen so exciting? It contains over 44 known Xanthones! What is a “Xanthone”? Xanthones are a completely unique type of antioxidant. Read Why Xanthones Work for a quick introduction.
Why are anti-oxidants important? Check out this blog post by a Professor at NYU. Professor at NYU on anti-oxidants and various cancers.
This site is not about convincing you or talking you into or out of anything. You read. You explore. You see what conclusions you reach. People ask “Have there been any scientific studies on the mangosteen?”.
Go to www.pubmed.com and type ‘xanthones’ and ‘mangosteen’ in the search engine. Just look at the studies that have been done. You may want to try that with the main fruit of other supplements that are in currently marketed as high antioxidants. The acia berry, the wolfberry, and the noni fruit are just a few that come to mind. All of these do have a high antioxidant rating. It is just the antioxidant type is not a xanthone. And that’s what makes the difference…
This is the world’s leading Super Antioxidant. There many fruits that contain antioxidants (which I find spelled anti-oxident and antioxident on searches). What most people don’t know is that many contain one or two antioxidants. But there are types of antioxidants! For instance the antioxidant in orange juice (Vitamin C) is just one anti-oxidant.
The mangosteen contains a unique class of phyto-nutrients called ‘xanthones’. It has over 44 of these individual phytonutrient antioxidants in the fruit’s rind (and it is important that the ENTIRE fruit is used in the preparation.) Each of these antioxidants has a different benefical effect on the body.

There’s something called the oxygen paradox, meaning oxygen is absolutely necessary for us to be alive, but extremely dangerous because it produces unstable particles called free radicals - damaging the body in every way you can imagine…
The most popular theory for the aging process is that it is a result of free radical cell damage.
Pollutants are full of free radicals. Unfortunately, we live in an environment where air, water, and food is so polluted, you can’t avoid free radicals.
An antioxidant, however, is the counterpart of a free radical. The human body has a homemade source of antioxidants… and we have antioxidants that come from our diet, but if you take one of the more common antioxidant substances, Vitamin E, you would have to eat 100 pounds of boiled liver every day to get the minimal amount that you need…![]()
Here is another sample of the information you can find in our 7-part email series:
“Science has proven that free radicals attack our bodies at the cellular level. Free radical cell damage has been linked to many degenerative diseases, aging and cancer. It has been estimated that each of our trillions of cells are attacked by as many as 10,000 free radicals every day!
There has been extensive scientific research done on the antioxidants found in vitamins — especially Vitamins C & E. You will see, as you read below, that the xanthones found in certain fruits (like mangosteen) are even more powerful.
What is a Xanthone?
The phytoceuticals (plant chemicals) of the mangosteen have been widely studied, but none as much as the class of highly active substances called xanthones.
Science has discovered these xanthones to be a much more powerful antioxidant than those found in vitamins. Xanthones are also known as “adaptagens” for their unique ability to adapt to the body’s needs. In otherwords, they modulate and assist the body in many different areas.
Science has identified approximately 200 different xanthones that occur naturally (ie. in certain plants, fruits, herbs, etc). The mangosteen fruit ALONE has over 40! In addition, mangosteen has some of the most potent xanthones studied to date. No other fruit even comes close!
A number of herbs and plants contain some xanthones, but none as robust in quantity and vibrancy as the mangosteen. For example, the well-known St. John’s Wort contains a single xanthone. And Garcinia Cambogia contains just 2.
Will Xanthones Benefit Me?
In 2000, a pharmacological study from a European university [2] indicated the following pharmaceutical properties in naturally occurring xanthones:
anti-depressant
anti-microbial (bacteria and fungus)
anti-viral
anti-leukemic
anti-tumor activity
anti-ulcer
anti-diabetic activity
and many more . . .
Other studies have shown the effectiveness of various xanthones in fighting PAIN, INFLAMMATION, and many other common ailments. “

Oxidation is basically the loss of an electron by a molecule. This results in harm to the body as the loss of electrons will have a negative effect on the natural growth of the cells and aging and can this results in destruction. prevent destruction can be prevented with antioxidents.
