Networking Marketing a.k.a. “The Perfect Business”

Say’s who?  Robert Kiyosaki for one.

Here is the link to the Networking Times site which has Robert Kiyosaki’s CD “The Perfect Business”.

So what is perfect about it?  Well we get wealthy the same way we get poor, but most people don’t understand that.  The top achievers do and that is why they understand the power of a little bit of consistent effort mixed with persistence.

My Sweet Cash From Home Business

Think about how nice it would be to make that extra cash, part-time, and use it to pay off some credit card debt.  The average person in Network Marketing can make two to five hundred dollars a month within a year or two fairly easily and in less than ten hours a week.  It does take being coachable, and having a coach, and being able to apply a system consistently.  As Jim Rohn has said “An apple a day will keep the doctor away, but seven apples on Saturday isn’t going to do it!”. (from the Jim Rohn Weekly E-zine)

(I can’t wait Greg! Show me Your Site for Making Money from Home!)

Network Marketing is a way out of the common paradigm that if you work hard for forty years or so that you will retire and be able to really start living.  The main problem with that is … you’ll be living on about a third of what wasn’t enough when you were working full time!   Why follow what 95% of the people do, if what they do is end up dead broke or close to it?!

Beware becoming like the Processionary Caterpillars of Life!

People only fail in Network Marketing because they are not doing networking or marketing.  They are selling.   That’s one no-no.  Rule number one; don’t talk!  Use the tools (CDs, Videos, brochures).

Rule number two is patience.  For some people the first thing they want to know is that their opportunity is not a get-rich-quick scheme, and then the next thing they want to know (two months down the road) is how come they aren’t getting rich quick!  I had a woman the other day call me and ask me why her check after two months wasn’t bigger.  She had never listened to a CD, had no idea how the compensation plan worked, never spoke to me but once prior to that call and had not personally introduced the product to a single person (she had given me a list of names to work with.  She just didn’t understand why they hadn’t all signed up!)

There are only a very few a simple things anyone who wants to build a substantial and long term residual income in this industry needs to do and your upline (how ever far ‘up’ you need to go to find them) knows what they are.

Which is common mistake number three.  In the professional world of Network Marketing among the true leaders and money makers (who are always the same people … hmmm) there is an understanding of ’servant leadership’.  When you join me in my business, I go to work for you!  I cannot make you a disciplined person or a motivated person, but I can teach you how to be both.  In a business with the image of people hunting out people just to ‘get them’ to ’sign-up’ to ‘make them money’ just the opposite is true.  Show me someone with that mentality and I’ll show you someone who is on their way to failing.

So many Network Marketing leaders have said this I’m not sure who to attribute it to but ‘your check will only grow in proportion to your growth’.  It is important to feed your mind the best ‘food’ you can and when you join in a Network Marketing business you are going to be exposed to tons and tons for FREE motivational and self development tools, classes and mentors you never knew existed!

Too many people unfortunately waste time, money, and their credibility on the next ‘automatic sign up and send me the check- talk to no one’ program.  There is no such thing.   (Down load the MP3 ”The Zen of Prospecting” by Jeffery Combs from his website for more on this).

Most people don’t want to hear that they don’t need the next Super Awesome Automatic Rotating Sign Up website.  That what they really need is a set of Denis Waitley, Brian Tracey, or Jim Rohn CDs.  It is self growth that translates into monetary growth.  (I will always be thankful that my father introduced me to such mentors at a very early age.  That the perfect place to apply them in this world was in Network Marketing, came much later).

Lastly, for now, avoid those that have, and avoid becoming, a person with Lottery mentality in this industry.  Note I did not say don’t buy a lottery ticket or go to Atlantic City if you want.  That’s fine (within reason I suppose), but you are never going to make money in Network Marketing if you are looking for the person who is going to ‘make you rich’ as opposed to becoming the person who is going to make you rich!  Think hard on that.  It is the absolute core of becoming financially independent.  You may be lucky enough to sponsor the 3 or 5 (and that is all it takes) leaders you need in this business to build that 5 figure income, but don’t count on it.  Find 5 to 10 who want to be leaders and direct them to the CDs and books etc. that YOU used to become who YOU are and … there are your leaders!

All the best, and yours in success…
